Workshop Description:
Participants will be actively involved in the process to:

  • Understand and be able to use The Framework for Teaching
    1. Planning and Preparation          
    2. Classroom Environment
    3. Instruction
    4. Professional Responsibilities
  • State the purpose and use of evaluations in context of current contract language
  • Understand the blueprint for teacher evaluations
  • Understand and use evaluation criteria (WHAT) and procedures (HOW)
  • Practice observing (videos) and writing Domain summaries and suggestions based on the Framework
  • Make connections for this model to current district initiatives and APPR program
  • Understand the use of this model in context of state mandates and regulations
